Founded in 2002, Shanghai United Compressor is a large manufacturer specializing in R & D, production and sales of compressors. With the continuous development of its business, Shanghai factory capacity has been unable to meet market demand.

In 2013, United Compressor joint venture with Hitachi Group, a Fortune 500 company founded in 1910, has been producing compressors for more than 100 years. The partnership complements each other's product lines, and it also enhances each other's ability to design, production, control and service.

Hitachi Compressor (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is another joint venture between United and Hitachi Compressor Systems in Changshu, China, which began preparation and construction in May 2017. The new factory will have an annual output value of 1 billion Yuan.

On March 1, 2019, the first compressor at the new plant came off the line.
