Hot winds pick up sand and dust and move it through the moors and valleys; Lizards and reptiles sit motionless in the branches of the haloxylon trees under the hot sun. But just below the life exclusion zone lies a huge amount of "black gold" -- the oil.
As the blood of the modern industry, the exploitation and refining of oil play a pivotal role in China's development strategy in various periods, and petroleum machinery is the key equipment to pump black gold out of the underground. Compressed air plays a role as a power source in the operation of the entire petroleum machinery. Every switch action of the pneumatic valve and expansion of every cylinder requires compressed air to participate in it. United compressed air is the guarantee of a qualified gas source.
As early as more than a decade ago, UNITED air compressor has been widely used in Xinjiang's major oil fields. Due to the lack of water in Xinjiang, air-cooled air compressors are the only choice to be used in oil fields. However, Xinjiang is hot, dusty and the operating conditions are extremely harsh. The air compressors of other brands did not last long before they frequently broke down and went through a cruel natural elimination, United air compressor with outstanding performance and excellent environmental adaptability to stay in the end.
In the last 10 years, petroleum machinery has been constantly updated and iterated. To meet the requirements of new technology, the oil market in Xinjiang has presented A new challenge to United: an energy-saving air-cooled air compressor with an exhaust capacity of 100m³/min and an exhaust pressure of 8kg.
Previously, due to the technical constraints of air-cooling, the air-cooled compressors used in Xinjiang generally have a single air displacement of about 50m³/min. Now, in the Chinese compressor market, the compressors that can achieve a single displacement of 100m³/min are water-cooled. It is almost impossible for a single unit of the air-cooled compressor to achieve such a large displacement volume and at the same time to stand the challenge of the harsh environment in Xinjiang. United engineers with many years of compressor design and manufacturing knowledge, from the core of the compressor to start a new journey.
After analyzing the compressor currently in use in Xinjiang and communicating with colleagues in Japan, we have developed the largest two-stage compressor air end in the Chinese market - "T3851". The air end assembly weights of 4 tons, it incorporates the most advanced technology from China's current air compressors. We redesigned key processes such as the fuel injection channel, rotor profile, and interstage nozzle, and used the world's leading FAG heavy-duty bearing as key components. T3851 compressor can discharge up to 120m³/min with very low energy consumption and excellent performance.
Looking at the outstanding performance of the air end assembly of the T3851 on the experimental platform, we know that we have taken a key step towards success.
After the development of the air end assembly, the next step is the complete compressor assembly. In 2019, United officially started using "Hitachi Industrial Equipment (Suzhou) compressor Co., Ltd." as its compressor production base, a modern compressor manufacturing plant with many of the world's leading technology. United follows the "lean production process" to complete each air compressor assembly and testing work. With many years of advanced compressor design and manufacturing experience, United engineers through day and night hard work, finally completed the first 100m³/min, 8 kg air-cooled two-stage compressor UCDT500A-8 trial production.
As the 6-meter, 13-ton behemoth rolled off the assembly line, onlookers were filled with awe. But will the machine survive the rigours of Xinjiang's environment? To test this answer, we sent the UCDT500A-8 into our "thermostatic testing laboratory".
