Description

The air-cooled refrigerating dryer is special equipment used to deal with water, oil and other suspended solids in the atmosphere, and produce low quality compressed air after compressed by an air compressor. DSA-D series refrigerated dryers mainly use the air source purification of a small and medium-sized air compressor station. Following the process requirements, reasonably select the auxiliary units such as the cold dryer filter, cooler, compressed air-liquid separator and precision filter.

Working Principle of Air-Cooled Dryer

Based on the principle of refrigeration and dehumidification, the air-cooled air dryer uses a fully enclosed compression refrigeration system to cool down the compressed air discharged by the air compressor. A large number of saturated water vapour and oil mist condenses into droplets will be released by an automatic drain after air-water separation. The saturated compressed air of higher temperature enters the precooler of the normal temperature air-cooled dryer. In the precooler, it exchanges heat with the cold and dry air from the evaporator. It then enters the refrigeration system's evaporator after lowering the temperature. After the second heat exchange with the refrigerant steam, the compressed air temperature reduced to the refrigerant's evaporating temperature. During the two cooling processes, the water vapour in the compressed air condenses into water droplets and flows into the air-water separator. The separated liquid water discharges out through the automatic drain. And the dry compressed air with lower temperature enters the precooler for heat exchange with the wet saturated air just entering, so that its temperature raised. The dry compressed air with lower moisture content (i. e. lower dew point) and lower relative humidity obtained at the exhaust port of air-cooled dryer at room temperature. The air-cooled dryer has become the first choice of air cleaning equipment because of its reliable work, convenient management and low operation cost.

Characteristics of Air-Cooled Air Dryer

·       The refrigeration compressor uses the advanced rotary type or scroll type, the piston type whole seal refrigeration compressor and the semi-seal screw type refrigeration compressor (above 30HP). ·       High-quality copper tube with the pure aluminium fin is used in the heat exchanger and air condenser, supporting high heat transfer efficiency and compact structure and small volume. The cylinder is made of stainless steel or galvanized carbon steel to avoid secondary pollution to the Compressed air.

·       The air-liquid separator adopts the organic combination of cyclone separation and stainless-steel wire mesh to catch the mist fog. The air-liquid separation is effective and avoids the secondary evaporation of water and ensures the air-cooled dryer's drying effect at room temperature. The utility model has better performance than the cyclone separator, lower use cost than the filter air-liquid separator, and higher performance-to-price ratio.
